Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

It happened on 8/3/2019. We turned lights off and went to sleep at around 10.30. I woke up at around midnight and turned on the light because I could not sleep. I had felt something on my leg. I immediately saw 2 bed bugs on my bed then 1 on my wife's bed. Later I found one more on my wife's bed. Total 4. We left immediately, but we still got bitten about 30 times in about 90 mins of staying in the beds. I have foto's of the bugs. I reported it to the local Health Dept. Management denied they have bed bugs. When presented with the evidence they claimed I brought them. When I denied they said I don't understand someone else brought them. Their story kept changing. We left in disgust and in an hurry. THIS HOTEL/INN NOW CHANGED NAME TO MONTEREY FIREPLACE INN USED TO BE BLUE LAGOON INN
