Stayed in this cabin "Somewhere in Time" on January 25th and 26th. Numerous housekeeping issues I was also told the "deep cleaning was in the Spring"!!!!, so renters that rented prior to the "deep cleaning" would just have to live with the nasty cabins? I asked to be moved to a different cabin and was told there were no available units, this was a lie, as we KNOW they have many units available, we looked, the real issue was on Sunday evening on our way home, I started itching and noticing spots on my arms, torso, all over my body. I FREAKED out! I knew it had to be bed bug bites, these small bites turned into large welt all over me. I was the one that had slept in the upstairs bedroom, no one else in my family had any bites that they could find. I know the upstairs bedroom was infested..I call mgmt numerous times and was made to feel like I was making all this up and was just lying to get my money back, (which didn't happen),So, I got to stay in a bug infested cabin for $400 + dollars. I kept calling and was told first, the cleaning crew looked and there was no bed bugs, then they said the exterminator went and sprayed with dogs? once a month and there wasn't a problem, but the next day called THEM again and was told the exterminator did find a "trace" amount of bed bugs, bur no one bothered to call and tell me, they put me on the phone with their :lawyer:??? and I was told that most likely, I BROUGHT THEM IN ON THEM !!! I was furious that they were trying to turn this whole thing around on me. I have contacted them several times just to get help paying the $300. exterminator fee or anything, they aren't going to do anything so, I was out $400+ dollars for the cabin, doctor bill, and around $300 exterminator fees, so I paid close to $1000. to get bed bugs....Very, very upset and can't do anything about it....Thank you DD
