I stayed in pyramid room 10073 for three consecutive nights, checking out on Thursday, January 10. On my final morning I found a bed bug in my bed. I took a picture of it before squashing it, and to my horror, it left a large blood droplet. I went to the registration desk immediately after finding the bed bug. J said they would inspect the room later. I requested some insecticide to spray on my clothing and luggage so I wouldn’t bring any bed bugs home with me, according to them, none was available. When I insisted that I wanted some kind of bed bug spray, he offered me a plastic bag to put my belongings in (this would do nothing to protect my home from any bed bugs accompanying me home from Luxor). Further requests resulted in J offering me Clorox wipes (these are not insecticidal). It definitely felt like he was not listening to me and was not at all concerned about my comfort. I took a Lyft to and from Walmart to purchase insecticide, and treated my belongings including clothing and luggage. Because I was traveling with colleagues who also needed to use the spray, I left it at the bell desk. Initially, the bell desk refused to hold it for the other guest, but after speaking with Jack, they hesitantly agreed. Jack was also unfriendly and completely unconcerned with the bed bug issues. The bed bug incident was startling and horrifying, but the hotel's lack of response is what made me an extremely unhappy customer. The hotel claims they inspected the room and found nothing, but the hotel has refused to release any documentation showing an inspection of the room on that date.

Found the bed bug on Friday, November 18. It was crawling on my pillow, and appeared flat. Before that, I checked the corner of the bed and box spring but found no signs. Hotel offered to change my room immediately and refunded half of my last two nights. They said they were going to test the room.

Hello, I'm currently staying at the Luxor (my last day, thank goodness) and last night I found a bed bug on the edge of my pillow's seam. Staff seamed pretty dismissive about it and simply changed us rooms, said they would have a third party inspect the room and should it test positive for bed bugs, then they'll discuss compensation.
