Checked in @ 12:30 PM November, 21, 2018. We had a mouse in our room when we returned from the common area at 10:00 PM. We clubbed it with a shoe and flushed it down the toilet. Lights out at 11:15 PM. At 11:30 PM I felt something crawling on me. Light on and a flashlight revealed the first bed bug. Further searching revealed another on a pillow. It was blood filled. I have photos. My husband went to the front desk and they seemed a little surprised. He told them we had bed bugs and we were leaving. He showed them the bugs. They said they would give us a full refund immediately and some would contact us. We made them give us bags so we could put all our possessions in them to travel home. We left the Inn at 12:45 AM. My husband called the Inn November 22, 2018. He left his name and phone number and they told him someone would contact us. Today is November 27, 2018. We have not been contacted.

2025-12-22 We booked to stay here for five nights, and after three nights, we found bed bugs on our diaper bag. We also found some blood on the mattress of our baby's pack and play. We checked out that night (abandoning the pack and play) and went to another hotel. We bagged up all of our clothing and purchased a steamer to steam what we could before we left, then only took in what we absolutely needed to spend the night at the other hotel, leaving the rest in the car. Had to spend the next day hardcore cleaning all of our belongings to prevent us from accidentally bringing any of the little bugs home. When we checked out the previous night, it was late enough that there were no managers around, so the lady at the front desk told us that management would call us in the morning. We didn't get a call before checking out of the other hotel, so we went to talk to them in person before we left town. They didn't seem terribly surprised and insinuated that we brought the bugs in rather than them being there. They told us that they would report it and that we would not be issued a refund for our stay unless someone from the state confirmed that there were bed bugs. We asked to be refunded for the two nights that we were booked through but did not stay (the previous night and the next night). They told us they would refund us for those two nights and then while we were driving home we got an email showing that they had only refunded us for one night, so I had to email them back to remind them that they said they would refund us for both nights and to attach some pictures of the bed bugs that we took. They responded with an updated invoice where they had refunded the money for both nights to us, But there was no text in the email. No apology. No information about the report that they were supposedly going to file. Nothing. We spent three nights there prior to finding out that the place was infested and they made absolutely no attempt to make it right other than doing the bare minimum of not charging us for the two nights that we had booked but did not stay in the inn.
