Bedbug Reviews

I stayed at this hotel on 9/16/18 and spend 1 night in room 318. The room was on special as I was in town for an exam and needed a place to stay for the night. The hotel had 4 out of 5 stars on Booking.com and the special was for a king size bed for $60 with a little mini kitchen so I took the bait. When I woke up the next morning on 9/17/18, I noticed there were several spots on my sheets that were blood stained, and thought that was strange, I didn't remember having bloody nose and didn't have any scratches or scrapes on my body. I stayed in the room until 12pm studying, and at that time noticed a small brown bug crawl across the bed. I killed it and it was full of blood. I was grossed out and checked out shortly after. It didn't even occur to me that it was a live bed bug. I went about my day, and that evening huge red welts erupted all over both of my arms, my back, and one leg. I had between 75-100 bed bug bites. I took pictures and went straight to Urgent Care to been seen by a physician where I was told I was suffering from Bed Bug Bites and was given several prescription medications. The entire staff at this hotel was extremely rude to me and even hung up on me when I told them what happened and asked for my money back. I eventually was able to talk to Billy, the manager, and was given a refund. I am now working with the hotel's insurance company to get my medical bills covered. I also called the Health Department of Springfield, and they investigated, found bed bugs, and shut down the room. Today, 8 days later, the bug bites are no longer itchy, but are still visible and changing to a purple bruise color. It has been an experience from absolute hell and warn anyone considering staying at this hotel. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy!
