After looking for a hotel to accommodate a large group of people- 27 in fact- I found that Surrey Inn could provide us with the space we needed at the location we wanted. Unfortunately, those were the only positive aspects of the motel. Once we arrived on Friday evening, the room we stayed in presented obvious issues- the towels and sheets were worn and dirty, the beds had only a fitted and flat sheet, the ceiling of the bathroom was falling in, there was little to no parking for the number of rooms the motel had, and the carpeted floor left a disturbingly grotesque texture of uncleanliness after you walked on it. And that was just in our room.Despite this, we were able to look past these issues for the first night. Of the eight rooms we booked for our stay, each had its own problem. In my brother's room a toenail was found in the bed and a hairball in the toilet, in another there were cigarette burns/holes in the sheet. For anyone looking to stay at a smoke-free establishment, I would be wary because the facility allows guests to chain-smoke directly outside the doorways of rooms; my sister's room reeked of cigarettes to a point of which management only gave her a bottle of deodorizer to alleviate the problem. In my room, ants covered the dresser and crawled into most of the bags on the piece of furniture; however, we were lucky to not be in the rooms other family members were in because they had BEDBUGS crawling on them Saturday night/ Sunday morning. Despite only having ants, I along with the rest of my family bagged all of our belongings into black trash bags. Bedbugs bit two family members, and, when my brother-in-law opened his laptop at home, a bedbug was in the keys of it. When myself and others went to the front desk to address this problem on Sunday morning, we were told that the owner was out of town and they would contact us. That Monday, management called back myself and other family members to address the 'situation regarding our stay' and stated we could stay 1 night for free at their establishment as well as enjoy a meal at a Branson restaurant. When I asked if the manager had housekeeping clean our rooms before determining the extent of infestation he conveniently avoided my question. Needless to say, I will never return and am now almost expert on bed bug extermination.

We checked in on the 17th of September and checked out on the 22nd. I started noticing bites I thought were mosquitos but after I found cockroaches on the morning of the 20th I started thinking the bites were bed bugs. When i went to management he moved me immediately to room 324 a couple hours later I went back to talk to him about a refund I still wasnt happy he said he needed ti contact the owner I went back to my room then found a bug crawling on the bed what I later found out was a bed bug. I called the office asked him to come to my room i found a bed bug. I had to wait for him for 45 minutes before he came to my room at that point. He also found a dead bug in the bed he moved me again to room 324. The customer service started to go down hill at that point. The owner did c as ll me today 4 days after I checked out to find out what happened she said she called the health department out her self and nothing was found. She also said she wou l.j d be calling me back to take care of me and at this point havnt heard back from her.
