Monday, October 14th - Checked in, room wasn't great looking but it was about the same as other rooms I'd had in the same hotel. Didn't unpack because there were some dolls in the drawer and I didn't feel like messing with it. Went to bed and slept fine. Next morning showered and went to work, started feeling some itching on my arms. I'm very allergic to the point the bites swell and turn red and very itchy and painful. That night I drove back to the room, flipped the mattress as soon as I came in and saw 3-4 bed bugs there, flipped the other mattress and saw a few there too. Took photos, packed and went downstairs to check out. They apologized and said the manager would call me. They didn't charge for the second night then and actually didn't charge for the first night either. Never got a call from the manager. The bites ended up being up and over my head and face, all over my arms and legs, and a few under my shirt where supposedly the won't normally bite. Luckily I could cover up my body, but had to walk around with huge red welts on my my head and face. Very painful recovery too. I usually check my rooms, but had stayed in the hotel before without problems and assumed I'd be safe. Wrong!
