Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

Found two bed bugs in the bed my child was occupying. Found one on the pillow sheet and one crawling under the sheet. I told the front desk. They apologized, gave me this big speech about how we are occupying the bugs land with buildings and homes. My poor son has bite marks on his face and broke out in hives. I am so disgusted.

We stayed at the property on October 28, 2016 The hotel room we occupied had bed bugs. I found one bed bug the next morning on the pillow my son rested his head on and then one under the sheets. My sons body had bite marks all over his face, arms, back and chest area. It also caused him to have a really bad reaction which required medical attention. I was able to collect the evidence of a bed bugs and present it to the front desk. I took the bedbug and my son down to the front desk. I told the desk clerk that I found 2 bedbugs in the bed my son was sleeping in and then I showed him the proof. He took the bedbug and his eyes grew wide and he didn't say anything. He took the evidence and threw it away. I then showed him the bites on my son. He still was quiet never said anything. No apologies for what happend nothing. I just stood waiting for the manager. The manager finally walks in and the desk clerk spoke to him in a foreign language. Both were looking at each other speaking in their language. The manager went to look to make sure it was a bed bug. He finally comes back looks at me and he asked me what I would like to do? He said I can stay and he will change the bed sheets for me. I told him I am checking out right now and changing the sheets won't fix the problem. I told him my son has bites all over and there is no way I would stay another night in an infested room. The desk clerk then decided he was going to be nice and asked my son what kind of candy he wanted out of the vending machine. Seriously you think candy is going to fix what happend. I was really disappointed withbhow the staff handled the situation. An apology would of been a great start. I wasn't going to walk away from this so I demanded that they give me a full refund. The manager was being hesitant about it but then agreed to my wishes. I am still so disgusted by the whole situation.

If you find bedbugs in your home you should remove as much clutter and as many items as possible from your house. Replace all bedding and examine the box spring for bedbugs.
