My child attends school at valley view. Back in November of this past year 2015 my son started waking up covered in bites, we later found out that we had bed bugs that came from a piece of used furniture we had purchased. We fought the battle for seven months and finally got rid of them, all the while my child was being told by the teacher to put his jacket and backpack in the office in a tote, later finding out that several other kids had been know to have bed bugs and was placing there back packs in the same place. I found it hard to do my part in getting rid of the bed bugs while the other child that my son shared a "quarantined" tote with parents were not doing anything to get rid of them causing re infestation of my home due to cross contamination. I do my part to avoid getting them back i spray my son with alcohol when he comes home and directly decontaminate everything. Meanwhile several other children at the school still have the problem. I worry about the issue of spreading them far beyond the 15 or 20 students Im aware of
