Unbelievable! Got there on Tuesday night and Weds. morning I noticed two red areas near my left wrist. I thought I had been bitten by a mosquito or spider at first. It itched horribly. I scratched it and by Weds. evening the two red spots had turned into welts and was swollen along with pus oozing out. I had no clue what had bitten me. Never thought about bed bugs, but the next morning (Thanksgiving day) I had another bite on my elbow and it itched like crazy. I knew then it was not a mosquito bite or spider. I put anti itch cream on all 3 areas and forced myself not to scratch. By the time I left on Saturday morning...I had a total of 5 bites...three were swollen and red as I drove over 300 miles back home. My grandson was sleeping in the bed with me and I feel horrible now because he has severe allergies and asthma...he was bitten 7 times by the bed bugs. He has bites on his little feet, arms and legs. I\'ve begged him not to scratch because it will get worse. Giving him Benadryl now as I type this and pray he has no allergic reaction. My daughter was bitten twice. I called the hotel and left a voice mail about the bed bugs on Monday morning. I did not hear back from the hotel as of 9:15pm on Monday night...so I called again and got a live person this time. The owner said, \"I got your message today.\" I asked what was being done? She states I called the exterminator and he took care of it. I said, \"there has to be more than one treatment....I hope they know the bugs will spread to other rooms like roaches do when one area is sprayed and the other rooms are not....they can travel in electrical outlets.\" The owner says it was a hectic day for her and that\'s why she didn\'t return my call....and that she doesn\'t work weekends and Mondays are always crazy. What does that have to do with her giving me a courtesy call to say she called exterminator? She never, ever...not one time said, \"I\'m sorry...no apologies at all.\" I told her I was really concerned about my grandson and wanted to see what she had done before writing the State Health Department. I don\'t know if she really took me serious or even cared. I do know the sheets were never changed one time while we stayed there the 4 days....I saw little brown spots on the sheets where my grandson was sleeping....I thought it was fudge...but now I realize it was the bed bugs excretion after they got their feast of blood from us and was heading back to the baseboard or mattress seam to hide. I\'m truly not comfortable with how this was handle and feel the folks of this town should be warned, the state of Arkansas is a breeding ground for these bugs. I also can tell you the bedspread was extra long and the sides were always on the floor. I feel so sad for my grandson...I know I\'ve said that but it needs repeating....The owner/manager didn\'t offer an apology or any refund ....she literally acted like I was just another part of her hectic Monday (her words not mine).
