Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

I am a former employee of this hotel/resort and have worked in many of the rooms and have seen a large number of bed bugs on the beds, walls, and even the couches. I have had bites to prove it as well as having to move out of my home because I brought them home with me and had to sterilize everything before moving. Sandy Beach does not care and simply attempts the cheap way of removing these pesky bugs by bringing in a regular pest control company that sprays and I have done enough research that it takes more than a little spray to rid of bed bugs. They will not replace the mattresses or anything. It\'s disgusting.
