Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

We stayed one night at the Crislip Motor Lodge. It was room 12. We were traveling from Ohio decided to rest for the night. We went to bed around 10:00 p.m. At 3:30 a.m. I awoke to what felt like mosquito bites on both arms and elbows. I got up and went to the bathroom and discovered red puffy whelts on both arms. I went to the bed and turned over the pillows to find 2 bedbugs crawling. I was disgusted. I woke my husband and told him we were leaving immediately. I was not getting back in that bed and was afraid to sit any where. We did not get the nights rest we had gone there for. I left a note on the pillow-BED BUGS-NASTY. I am sure some other poor souls will endure the night we did. It discourages people from wanting to travel. All types of hotels/motels are reporting bed bug infestations.
