Middle of the night during stay I was awoken by a bit on my right shoulder near my neck. I am very allergic to bed bugs and react badly to the bites. In the morning I had more bites surfacing on my arms. I called the hotel to report the bed bug bites on 2/20 and the young man who answered the phone said he was the manager. He said they would check for bugs and that I would not get a refund unless they "found evidence." I told him I would be happy to send photos of the bites and he declined. He said that because I booked the room through Hotels.com that they would be the ones to return my fee. I called Hotels.com and they put me on a long hold to "speak with the manager." They came back and said it was up to the hotel to check for the bugs and then if they found evidence I may get a refund. No compensation was offered.
