Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

Check in at Aston Waikiki hotel, they gave us a room that was old and somewhat dirty. I was so exhausted from the flight so decided to take a shower, after the shower I left my day clothes on the bed and head out to get some bottle water. When we came back, my travel companion notice something crawling out from the bed sheets. It was a bed bug, we quickly grab some tissue and squish it. We inform the front desk regards to the issue, they told us to head back upstairs and wait for security. They didn't came until 45 mins after. We just stood there afraid to touch anything for 45 mins. I freaked out about my day clothes being contaminated, we ask for reimbursement for laundry, they said No and that we had to fork out the money ourselves if we want it done. If there was no bed bug issue, I wouldn't even ask for laundry. Customer service is not good
