Daughter complained of bites the first night of us staying at the hotel, didn't think much of it. The following night, same thing... thought it was possibly mosquito bites from walking around Sea World all day. When we came back to Las Vegas, where we live her bites continued and appeared to be getting worse. I googled everything to figure out where she was getting her bites from, and then I came across bed bugs. Sure enough, I look on her bed and there were about 10 bugs I could see. She has never had any issues prior to our trip to San Diego, I believe she brought bed bugs home from this Days Inn hotel. Pest control was called, and it was confirmed that it was bed bugs. He said it was recently brought in, because the number of bugs would have been larger if it was present prior to our trip.

I stayed at this hotel and found a bed bug as I was cleaning up to check out on 2/23/2019. I stripped the beds and found filthy mattress covers on them, although I did not find any other bugs and the mattress was zipped in a separate cover. I reported this to the hotel upon check out and was advised a supervisor would look into it and get back to me. No one did. I called for a manger the following week and was told he was out for a week. I called again a couple of weeks later and again could not be given a manager. The gentleman who helped me would only credit me $25.50 on a $400 bill. I did take photos of the room and the bug.

Checked in to this property late on Nov 6, 2019. Went to sleep. Woke up 2 hours later with extreme itching. Thought it might be laundry detergent used on sheets, since I had never encountered bed bugs before. Itched all night, no sleep, at 6am I got up and noticed small bites on my feet, arms and back. I looke in the seams on mattress and saw a couple of bugs which I later identified on line as bedbugs. (Within 24 hours the bites had become huge red welts.) Reported to management, checked out. They said they would refund my money on my credit card. What a horrible experience! It is now 11/11/2019 and the welts are still raging and itchy.

9/2/25 through 9/4/25 Stayed here for 3 days. It's the second night I was Disturbed by itching on my lower legs. After I left, the itching got much more severe and has bothered me since. I had never had experience with bed bugs before, but a nurse friend of mine identified the bites and told me to look up and find out what to do about them. When I am traveling in my van, I do have a foam mattress in the back that I can sleep on out in the field where there may not be hotels available. I gather that I will now have to disinfect my vehicle and throw out that $120 foam mattress, since it will be impossible to clean. The woman I spoke to on the phone at the front desk this morning didn't mention any other problems, but having found this registry I knew that four other people had complained of the same thing., since I will now have to spend money disinfecting my van and replacing the mattress. I mentioned several times that I had never had experiences with bed bugs before, and it took me 3 weeks (and a nurse friend) to realize that the bites on my legs were not mosquitoes but bed bugs. She insisted that because I have not complained immediately, she could not issue any refund whatsoever.. She did promise to contact her supervisor when I insisted. I have not heard back.
