July 2015. Business trip. Recurrent bedbug problem at this hotel. I stayed for 2 nights and left with several bedbug bites. I had already asked for the sheets to be changed as soon as I arrived because I saw a bug crawling on the freshly made bed. The hotel complied and changed the sheets. In retrospect, I should have asked for another room right away (and would advise anyone else to bolt) but I supposed the new sheets would mean no more bugs. The hotel checked and confirmed to me that the room did have bedbugs and as a result issued a full refund to me. There have been complaints online dating as far back as 2008 about Capitol Plaza's bedbug problem and thus far, the hotel management's response to these has been subpar and irresponsible, alleging that they will 'fix' the problem and going as far as to insinuate that hotel guests bring "unwanted visitors" (i.e. the bedbugs) with them. It is shameful and terrible that with all the previous complaints online about bedbugs, the management has not comprehensively treated rooms to ensure that this experience is not repeated with subsequent visitors. This is completely unacceptable and not worth the risk for future potential visitors.

February 2015 business trip. I woke up to a bug crawling on my skin. I called management and they initially claimed it was not a bed bug and then confirmed it was. Myself and my roommate were moved to another room and out clothing baked in a decontamination unit. We were then moved to another room with one bed to share and pillow dividers. After leaving all of my bed bug bites are now popping up on my body. Their was a response was that \"this is unfortunatky an industry where people bring in bugs.\"
