I booked accommodation for December 8th to 14th inclusive and was assigned to Room 241. The room appeared clean. On December 9th, my right shoulder was itchy and noticed a swelling on my earlobe. I was engaged in a fairly intense activity and did not explore the cause of discomfort. On December 10th I was even more itchy and noticed red track marks on my shoulder and chest, My back was also itchy.. I stayed with friends that night, and showed them the evidence: they concluded that I had been bitten by bedbugs. I returned to Room 241 but the door lock was changed. The clerk at the desk told me I was moved to Room 110 as the room 241 and nearby rooms had to have renovations. I told her of the bedbugs and urged fumigation. Room 110 appeared bedbug free. The establishment seemed indifferent to my discomfort and complaint, and offered no apology or nightly rate discount.
