I stayed in room 308 at the Sheraton in Chapel Hill, NC for two nights from 8/4-8/6/2025. I did not check the room for bugs as I’ve never experienced this before. I did see a bug on the bed, but never having experienced bedbugs, I’m not sure if that’s what it was and I simply flicked it off the bed. However, upon checking out of the hotel at the airport, I noticed several bites on my arm, then several on the right side of my back then again in the left. It could only have come from the hotel room as at no point during my trip was my bare skin exposed in those areas outside, nor was I ever outside long enough other than to go from the hotel to my car or to where I was conducting business. I called the hotel and informed them on 8/6/2025 at 10:02 AM CST. The receptionist was attentive and told me she had to report his to management and that they would contact me. I have not been contacted. I have posted reviews on both Google and Expedia with pictures of the bites. I have attempted to sanitize my bag and clothing in hopes that I didn’t bring this mess into my home. I think it’s an utter shame that management has yet to reach out. I will also be making a report to the State of North Carolina Health Department. Since management seems to not take this seriously enough to warrant a phone call, someone needs to be notified to take this matter seriously.
