Visiting family member booked adjoining room for us. Not much time spend in room after arriving, and went to bed quite late. Building is older structure, seemingly clean, smelling of disinfectant, but also needing maintenance to tiles,fan in bathroom. Next morning woke to smeared bloodstains where engorged bedbugs had been crushed during the night. Husband doesn't react to insect bites, whereas I have severe reaction. I had many, many bites on arms, feet, face, shoulder. Mgmt was notified. He indicated that the mattress set was about two months old. Pulled up mattress, then pulled back covering on box springs to where he said "there they are". Stated they would call Orkin. We were only staying the one night, so checked out. Family member checked his room carefully and didn't find anything, as he was staying add'l days. He later told us that housekeeping had cleaned the room, but he wasn't aware of any Orkin visit. And...that the room was again rented out the day we left!
