Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

On 8/8 we had a one night, short stay at the Woodlands. When we arrived, we did check the mattress & etc. We noticed the mattress itself looked older and a bit dirty however didn’t come across any bed bugs in the seams. After some time in bed around midnight, two bed bugs were found one on the left and right side of the bed. They were taken down to the front desk in a cup. Staff apologized and provided a new room, that was much nicer and more updated. None were found there to our knowledge. If you’re staying at The Woodlands, request a newer room!
