I checked in 7/26/17 and noticed a bug on the wall. Unaware what it was I grabbed a tissue and disposed of it in the toilet. The following morning I noticed another bug directly under where I had slept. When I grabbed a tissue to dispose of it it popped a pool of red blood out and then I started freaking out. After googling I definitely had adult bed bugs in my bed! Then another came scurrying out from under the pillow and I was able to capture it in a cup to bring to front desk. Their staff was unaware what they looked like and said they would get back to me. No one reached out to me. I asked to switched rooms and they said they didn't have the same type so I would go to a double queen which was more expensive. I asked how I was going to be compensated and they said they could switch my last day to a different hotel. I know how invasive they are and couldn't in good conscience spread them. Still no management call. The next morning I received a bill for my entire stay and an additional charge for my room upgrade. I then lost my patience for the complete negligence I was being shown. I had to embarrassingly walk all of my belongings down in trash bags and had to show my frustration to get noticed. They told me to buy a spray and the GM would call. She finally did and after I informed her my mother in law worked for the health department she refunded my room and said I would receive 10,000 points to my choice hotel account.
