Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

After being there for a short time we checked the head board and the mattress was full of bedbugs! We got a refund and left immediately!

On Friday night, November 3rd, my speech team stayed here. I woke up on November 4th in room 209 with 31 itchy, extremely painful bites- some of them looked and acted different than others, and all grew exponentially over the next two days. Sunday I had a fever and was vomiting, and when we got back home i went straight to the ER. 29 of the bites were diagnosed as bed bugs by a doctor, and 2 were an unidentifiable spider bite, which the doctor thought might be brown recluse. Both bites required multiple prescriptions and intense medical treatment. After Saturday, we asked the hotel to move us and they were not helpful, so we moved to the Motel 6 instead. Red Roof Inn still charged us for Saturday night despite this incident meaning we weren’t there.
