Checked in at Tropicana Hotel on 11/04/2017. On morning of 11/05/2017, I was laying in bed and felt something calling on neck and wipe my neck with my hand and than pulled the top away and saw a bed bug on the sheet. Called front desk and security came up put the bedbug in a cup, have a report sheet to complete and housekeeping offered to wash our clothes. As of yet I have not heard from the Risk Manager. Waiting to see if anything got tracked home.

Woke up the morning of New Year’s Eve 12-31-2021, after showering getting ready I came out of the bathroom looked at the second bed and saw something crawling. Looked closer and it was a bed bug, I called the front desk and they transferred me to security, after speaking with security then told me they would be right up. I went into the bathroom and got a plastic cup and then placed the cup over the bed bug so security could see it . Security showed up and verified that it was in fact a bed bug and moved us to another room. I filled out a report for the hotel and received a copy of it as well. The report was filled at 2:00 pm and that was after we had moved rooms. I never put anything on the bed all my luggage was on the counters and bathroom counter, I did my research before even booking the room looked at the cdc bed bug registry but only found one case in 2017. I highly rely on the reports as a nurse I am very cautious on where I stay and checking all beds . Moved to room 268 and woke up with a sore spot on my back.
