March 10-13, 2020 I checked into the Econo Lodge located at 7508 Shawnee Mission Pkwy, KS on Tuesday; March 10, 2020. On Thursday morning March 12, 2020, I woke up to discover bite marks on my face and arms (as seen in the attached photos) which appear to be bed bug bites. Prior to checking in, I did not have these itchy red marks on my body. I reported these bites to the front desk to a tall young man with glasses at approximately 7:30am Thursday, and he agreed to move my room. After I returned from work, a new front desk representative, Ray, offered me a new room. He switched me from room 320 to room 318, right next door and informed me that I would need to speak to you about compensation for my room, the discomfort of bed bug bites and the inconvenience of changing rooms. When I bought this information to the attention of the general manager, he denied the existence of bedbugs and refused to refund my money. I was once a flight attendant and advent traveler. I have stayed in countless hotels and this is my first experience with bedbugs. I will NEVER stay at another franchised owned hotel. Consumers be aware...... Houston Guest
