Incident Date: 12/1/2020 - 03/31/2021 I would like to inform you about the bed bug infestation of this business. I refer to remain completely anonymous, as to not disclose my and other guests who have had this similar experience, and to avoid retaliation from exposing unethical, covert business practices. I am a former disabled veteran of the Armed Services, who had an extended stay at this facility, because I'm currently am rebuilding my life and am without a permanent residence. This particular place was chosen by a Veteran Service Officer to help remedy temporary living quarters, while I work further to get more stable. During my first day, everything seemed fine, as I am a new person to this particular business. My check in date was approximately 11/26/2020. Five days later, 12/31/2020, while waking up from a nights sleep, I start having extreme itching sensations noticed red bumps on my arms, and a stinging feeling while scratching. I couldn't figure what was causing this to happen. I also took notice of that every time I would lay on my bed on the covers or at night under covers while sleeping, it would start again, but this times it was happening all over other places of my body. Not too many days after, I finalized realized these incidents were due to the infamous bed bugs. I was irritate, due to already paying a costly weekly rent rate, which is not refundable, and I had no way to relocate to a more sanitary living environment, along with moving personal items, feeding myself, the price of traveling, plus the cost of relocating. This went on and for weeks, even until my departure. During my time there, I eye witnessed and heard other customers at various times making the exact concurring complaints known to the business owner, who became angry, dismissive, and also accused the customers of false allegations to receive a refund, denying a refund, and threatening to call the police on them for bringing it to her attention. This should be investigated by the State Department of Health. I currently have proof of bed bug marks bites and sores on multiple areas of my body and receipts of my stay there. I was able to relocate, due to help the help of house-cleaning employees friend, who verified it to her that the motel has bed bugs by the marks on my body. She in turn denied it.
