Two queen size beds, it was 10:15pm and was getting ready for bed. Turned down sheets, found one bug, then another, then upon searching both beds and the surroundings more, at various life-cycle stages, were discovered. Hotel staff was accommodating in terms of getting us another, bed bug-free by our inspection, room at 10:30pm. The GM, who was not present, offered this: they can go to another hotel and we will not charge them or we can give them $20 off of their bill to switch rooms! Not wanting to leave at 10:30pm to find a new place for the night and having a business meeting the following morning we felt it best to remain there albeit in another, hopefully, clean room. After returning home and taking every precaution along the way to not infest our abodes, I called said GM the day after our departure to explain my dissatisfaction with his proposal and why it was less than satisfactory. Upon detailing our routine to prevent infestations in our homes, the GM was apologetic but still unaware of how much of a hassle this is and that he should have, without a second thought, comped our room at worst. This review is not out of spite, it is for the mental (especially) anguish and the physical (less concerning due to our brief exposure to them) repercussions to bed bugs. How this situation was handled leads me to believe this GM has no idea what a bed bug infestation means and what is required afterwards to prevent the customer from having further issues. I even asked to speak to someone from the ownership group (this is an independently owned franchise as most are) within 24 hours of speaking with the GM. I did not receive any call within 24 hours (and have not received one at all 48 hours later). Do not stay here!
