My husband woke up at 4am itching. Red welts all over his back. Inspected the bed in the first bedroom and found a bedbug. Room 220.

Checked in on Oct. 1, 2021 for 2 nights, after leaving work then driving to MB. Last minute trip so was hard to find a hotel, booked through Expedia for 2 nights. Was there to see a band playing for the bike rally so was out until late that night, was closer to morning before laying down for a short nap. There were 3 beds, (4 of us). We got up about 2 hours later, showered and were gone the rest of the day again until after midnight. I slept in the front bed, others in back 2 beds. I woke up and saw something crawling on the pillow next to me, thought it was a spider at first. I smashed it and moved the pillow and saw 3 more bugs. I started panicking, took multiple pics, because I recognized it as a bedbug. (I have worked in the hotel office for years) I killed those 3 then saw 2 more. Needless to say, I took everything to the bathroom, shook it out, showered and we packed up. The person in the back bed showed me his arm and he had about 6-7 welts which I knew were bedbug bites. I only saw 1 bite on myself then and was thinking how lucky I was considering how many were on my bed. After getting home, I saw a couple more, then later that night, the welts started coming out. I have more than 30 bites!! 13 on 1 arm, 8 on the other, 7 on my neck, and about 10 on my chest. Also on my thighs, back, and side. I keep having to calm myself down from having a panic attack thinking about all those bugs feeding on me while I was asleep. The other person has also now found them on his back and other places. The hotel said they are "investigating" to see if any are found, after we were told when we checked out that we would be given a full refund. The GM is "off today" and has not reached out at all. The room was infested!!! I am horrified that there could be so many on 1 bed. I have seen them before being in the hotel business, so I do know that it does happen occasionally, but never more than 1 or 2!! At check-out, she called the maintenance person and told him and I know they will say they didn't find any, but I am going to keep pursuing this, not just for the refund, but because the issue has been there for a long time from the ones we saw crawling around. (There were also 3-4 tiny ones, babies, so I feel it's fair to say that). A higher authority should have to go in and inspect!!! I took pictures of all my bites as well as the bugs so can certainly show proof!
