Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

Dec. 18-21, 2016 Room 216 Traveled with my family for Cancer Treatment Centers of America and stayed at the Hampton Inn/Newnan, GA ... Room had 2 queen beds. The day we were leaving I noticed my daughter had several welts on her neck and back and at baseline of her scalp. Didn't know what caused it but we were headed home...Day after we got home I had to take her to doctor who treated her with steroids but wasn't sure of cause. Looked like bites. She must've brought one or more back with her either on her body or in suitcase...she has had multiple bites which I thought might be something else (never dreamed it was bedbugs!!) ...I washed thouroughly her bedding, but she continued to have welts. Tonight I found an adult bedbug in a wastebasket in her room!! I quarantined her room and have been doing laundry all night. Tomorrow morning we will have to call exterminators, although I don't know who would be the best company to go with... I just called the Hampton Inn and advised them...Any recommendations from you would be appreciated. Thanks.
