Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

when we stayed in quality inn (east Windsor, NJ) on 12/26 night - room 218, I got bites on the arm, and felt itch in the midnight. I searched online the next day, and found it was bed bug bites, as there were bites on the same line. we end up with throwing away all of our luggages, and purchased new ones. I emailed hotel manager, and no response received. So I am not sure if they did anything to treat that room.

Woke up at 4am with itching on my arm. Found a bed bug on my pillow. Looked around the room more and found 2 more on the walls.
