Arrived 10/27/22 Room 104 2 Queen beds. Friend had bed by slider, woke up to bites on her neck and chest. Thought they were spider bites. Saturday morning she has more, Sunday now has 10 areas. I find bed bug on shower curtain after she took shower. She goes to front desk, I call Maintenance arrives, puts bug in cup, moves bed back, we all see very active large red bed bugs crawling around on mattress pad and box springs. Check my bed don’t see any but not as thorough of look. They’re planning to lockdown room. Manager tells me she will pay for all clothes to be dry cleaned to have business call to get card #. Next day I call am told have to pay out of pocket for everything and file a claim with their insurance company. Not provided any information. No longer helpful said not allowed to speak with us! These bed bugs were traveling across the room! So everything is contaminated, luggage, clothing, shoes, my bi-pap sleep apnea machine was right there next to headboard 1 foot away! Very concerned about how they are going to help. I have trip coming up and can’t use my suitcase. Worried they’re in my sleep apnea machine so I’m not using it which is dangerous. Very disappointed with them that they turned so fast when we stayed so quiet about it. We were at convention and if we had spread the word about bed bugs they would have been bombarded with people refusing to pay and being angry. We showed restraint and respect and are now being treated like we’re doing something wrong and will have to spend a lot of money and have nothing that we will get it back! Feel very violated and my friend is covered in ugly angry welts all over her body and feels sick and in pain. They should have helped us like they said they would.
