1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

Date: May 27, 2026 Location: Super 8 by Wyndham Amarillo Central TX Room Number: 110 During my initial check in inspection in Room 110, I discovered what appeared to be a significant bed bug issue involving the second bed closest to the outer wall. I initially noticed a blood stain on the bedsheet, which raised concern. Upon lifting the mattress, I observed numerous bed bugs underneath the mattress area alive. To confirm what I was seeing, I squished two of the bugs and blood came out, further indicating they had recently fed. Due to the number observed underneath the mattress, this appears to be more than an isolated issue. I am documenting this incident for awareness and requested that the room be inspected and treated immediately to prevent further exposure to guests.
