My family and I arrived at the resort hotel to spend Thanksgiving with my great grandma who is 105 years old. We came all of the way from Colorado. Upon arrival, we checked in, left our personal items for the three night stay, and left to spend the rest of the day at the nursing home. We came back to our hotel room around 21:00 and discovered that our beds were crawling with bedbugs when my mother attempted to go to bed around 23:00. I killed four and then picked up two in a clear glass to take to hotel staff as I had recognized what the bug was. The front desk woman was very nice, but a little to calm about the situation. I then asked her if they had come across this problem before at their hotel and she admitted that they had- on that same floor. I explained to her that we needed to handle this problem immediately by bagging everything we have in plastic bags then heating and washing all of our cloth material items. They put us in a room down the hall from our infested room and have us detergent and dryer sheets to clean everything. I feel that the staff was friendly and decently empathetic. The bugs were crawling on us and I'm not feeling well about this at all! I will be destroyed if I take them in our car and back to Colorado.
