Turned down bed and found a bug. They upgraded our room and that room had bugs too. They refunded our money and we checked out.

I stayed at this Holiday Inn on November 7th and 8th. The first night I woke up the next morning with an itchy red bump on both my elbows, not thinking much of it but made sure to check the bed and could not find any signs of bed bugs except for a few very small brown dots. The second night I woke up with at least 6-7 more bites with one being on my face and knew that it had to be from bed bugs. I told the front desk once I checked out and they told me that they work with a company and took my phone number for if they found any themselves. I am sure they won’t admit to finding anyone so I want to make all aware.

My family and I checked into queen suite 223 on 8/4/2025. I woke up at 01:30 to my 16 year old telling me that a small bug just crawled on him and he refused to sleep on the pullout sofa anymore. I turned on my light and inspected the sheets by my head and saw a tiny red bug on the sheet. I collected it and brought it to the night clerk as I had no other experiences with bed bugs in the past, nymphs are described as translucent, the bug was bright red compared to internet pictures, and I didn't see any other signs of bugs on the mattress edges. The night clerk apologized and offered us a new room, but after waking up the other 4 family members and finding an adult bug crawling on my husband and another on my 11 year old and 2 more tiny bright red bugs on the sheets; we decided to shower, change, bag everything and leave. The night clerk refunded our stay, and I filed a report with IHG.

We checked in on Dec 6-2025, discovered bed bugs on the sofa where my 17 year old daughter was trying to sleep. Told management and they gave us another room but we wanted a refund. Called IHG hoping that my diamond status would help.
