Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

I arrived at this property on 6/3/2016 with my three children to stay while in St. Louis for a family vacation. We arrived at the hotel around 6pm. We were in the room about 4 hours before I noticed a bug crawling on the wall by the bed. On further inspection I determined it was a bedbug, I woke my daughter up who was laying on top of the covers on the bed so I could inspect the bed. As soon as I pulled the comforter and sheet down I saw another bug crawling on the fitted sheet. Thank God we did not get into this bed and sleep. I immediately called the front desk and informed the clerk that there were bedbugs in our room and requested she come to the room to see for herself. She indeed came and saw the bugs on the wall and bed and immediately apologized and offered to move us to another room. I declined as I was not comfortable staying in the hotel after seeing bugs in this room. She said she understood and said she would take care of everything. I then packed our belongings so we could leave the hotel it was close to midnight. She called a few minutes later to say no charges would be made on my card and she would credit my honors rewards for a free night stay. We finished paking up and left the hotel, I returned the keys to the front desk and then talked with her again to confirm I would not be charged for the room. We drove home at midnight it was a 2 hour drive that abruptly ended our vacation. As of today I received a email from the hotel manager that stated he had the Orkin man check the room we were in on 6/4/16 and he found not bedbugs. I also checked my bank account and found a charge for the room pending on my account. Also not points awarded to my honors rewards account for a free stay. I have sent a strongly worded email to the manager insisting his bug man is wrong as I have pictures to prove there were in fact bugs in that room and that I fully expect to find a full refund in my bank account but tomorrow. I am awaiting his reply. I hope this will alert any future travelers that may be thinking of staying at this hotel so they can avoid what we had to endure.

If you find bedbugs in your home you should remove as much clutter and as many items as possible from your house. Replace all bedding and examine the box spring for bedbugs.
