We checked in very late after Black Friday shopping- before we even entered our room, the woman across the hall came out yelling and screaming and crying that there were bedbugs all over her bed and she had bites (almost welts) all over her. She showed us- thank God we saw this before we even entered our room or sat our stuff down! Went back to the front desk and she offered us another room. She wasn't apologetic or surprised. NO THANK YOU! Still waiting for them to credit my credit card back- which they charged twice for one night! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!

08/30/19 found bed bug and baby....staff apologetic and moved us to room...next door. 9/1/19 found another bed bug...fell off pajamas. Collected the bed bug showed staff member, he was rude and didn't want to help us and showed no concern or sense of urgency. Another staff member took over and deducted that night from our stay. We were suppose to be there 2 more nights but we chose to leave.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel 10/17/25. It's a rundown place and we found an earwig on the bed right away. We checked the bed for more and it was okay. Red bumps in a line showed up on my skin starting 10/23 and got worse 10/24 due to my unknown bedbug allergy. I called Econo Lodge to report the bedbug issue on 10/24 and asked to speak with a manager. I was told the manager would call before 3 PM. Never called. It's 10/27 and I still haven't received a phone call or email. I booked the room via Hotels.com and tried to get a refund via the agent. She spoke to an employee at Econo Lodge who refused my refund request because A) I didn't notify management about the bedbugs before I checked out B) "they've never had bedbug claims before". Their reviews show that bedbugs are a frequent issue at this hotel. Management comments in some reviews asking customers what they expect from the price, insisting there are no bedbugs, or telling them to go pay $700 and stay at the beach.

On the evening of 10/17/25 my girlfriend and I checked into this location. Within minutes of our arrival, I found an earwig and immediately searched under the covers and inside the pillowcases for any more. Thankfully we didn't find any other large insects and decided to stay. On 10/22/25, she and I both noticed strange bumps on our skin. By Thursday 10/23/25, these bumps had become larger and were itching intensely, worse than any mosquito bite I've ever had. The following day, the itching was even worse and discomfort was severe, making sleep extremely difficult. Looking at reviews for this location, our worries were confirmed with multiple instances of bedbugs from recent visits to stays dating back years. My girlfriend had such a bad reaction, she had to miss work and visit a doctor's office for treatment. Management was contacted through hotels.com and they refused to refund the cost of our stay because we didn't report the bedbugs upon checkout. They also claimed they've never had issues like this before, despite responding to claims of bedbugs in their Google reviews.
