August 5th 5:59 am - my daughter woke up us screaming as she was awoken by a bug biting her. We quickly grabbed a tissue and caught the bug off the comforter. We took photos of the bug to see what it was, looked it up on the internet, and it was a bed bug. We grabbed one of our sandwich baggies we had and put the tissue with the bug in the bag and sealed it. I grabbed an unused trash bag and we quickly changed from pjs to regular clothing and put our pjs in the trash bag and sealed it. We then loaded our belongings into our vehicle after inspecting it all. My husband and I tried to go into the front off but it was 6:30 am and no one was there. I called the number on the door and was told management was not available and we would need to leave our room key on the table inside the room. I left the key and the sealed baggie containing the bed bug on the side table and took a video of our room. I proceeded to make 9 calls that day to try to talk to management as I wanted to make them aware and I wanted a refund. When they finally called me they were unwilling to give me a refund and stated they checked the room and they did not find any other bed bugs. My daughters and I all ended up with bites on our arms and legs.
