Thanksgiving, November 22, 2018, spent night at hotel. In morning I was in restroom and a bedbug fell out of my pjs onto sink. Snapped photos of it along with name of hotel in the picture. Went to front desk and asked for plastic bags to bag clothes. Showed the front desk person the bed bug, and she said not to move anything of theirs because the exterminator would want to see the room as it is. She said the manager was away for Thanksgiving holiday, and to contact Travelocity for refund, since I booked through them. I called Travelocity, and they said they would follow up, and issued me a $50 coupon for my trouble. Travelocity said full refund had to come from the hotel. Super 8 front desk told me to the contact manager on Monday. I called on Tuesday and still no manager. Evidently the manager only comes in for a few minutes each morning, and if you don't call at that exact moment, you are out of luck. Wednesday I called, and the front desk person was extremely rude. Kept repeating the refund had to come from Travelocity, even though Super 8 had already been paid by Travelocity. She said if I hadn't gone through Travelocity, Super 8 would have issued me a refund on the spot. Unhappy ending. Travelocity contacted me by email, and said the Super 8 manager searched the room and couldn't find bed bugs (I don't know what happened to the one I captured in a glass for them to SHOW TO THE MANAGER), so Super 8 will not issue a refund. You would think they would rather issue a refund and offer good customer service than face this review.
