I stayed at this hotel the night of July 31st, 2018 with checkout on August 1, 2018. The bites appeared on August 2nd, I had bites up and down my left arm and hand (I mainly sleep on my left side), some on my back, and couple on my foot, They were very red and itchy. The bites became so red, inflamed, swollen, and filled with liquid like a blister that I went to the urgent care clinic for treatment. Eight weeks later, I still have marks and scarring. I notified the hotel management over the weekend to alert them to the problem. On Monday, August 6th, I left a voice mail and sent an email to the general manager. We spoke by phone on Wednesday, August 8th, and during that call, he confirmed that he had the room I stayed in inspected for bed bugs and it was, indeed, positive for bed bugs. GM said they would have to treat that room, 3 rooms on either side, and rooms above and below my room. He was apologetic, but due to the fact that I had to have medical treatment and had incurred medical costs, was still suffering from the bites, I found the compensation he initially offered to be inadequate so I was put in contact with the hotel's insurance company.
