We stayed at the Clarion Hotel Orlando International Airport from 1/08/2019 - 1/13/2019. We were there on business. Our first room (1110) had several cock roaches and we requested to move immediately. The second room (5137) had bed bugs!!! We discovered the bites shortly after leaving the hotel. I reported this to the hotel and they didn't act like they cared. I called to speak to the hotel manager 3 days in a row and the front desk would never let me speak to the manager. Each time I let them know the problems but they didn't seem to care!

BED BUGS *** SCABIES *** BED BUGS *** SCABIES **** NO CARE ATTITUDE Review of Clarion Hotel Orlando International Airport Pending review *** BED BUGS *** SCABIES *** BED BUGS *** SCABIES *** I stayed at this hotel on 09/18/2018. I booked the room through Trivago which then took me to Booking.com. Upon arrival I was greeted by a female employee who did my registration to the room. I was given room 5103 which is in the back section of the hotel. First of all this establishment should not be considered a hotel by any means. Once you get past the nice appearance of the lobby the rest of the place goes down hill. The back exit doors for that bldg do not secure. Anyone using the back parking lot can enter freely. Room 5103 was disgusting. It was the older section of the hotel. It was a handicapped accessible room (which I never asked for). The room was painted mustard yellow with patches and uneven coatings on the walls The bed skirting was torn and tattered on the corners. There was no furniture in the room with the exception of the bed, dresser and night stand. There was no where to sit except the bed. The carpet was bunched up in spots and had rolls in it and was dirty and stained. Curtains had holes and was tattered looking. There a wire rack just sticking out the wall near the bed. The room was dingy and smelled. This room is unacceptable for any guest PERIOD!. I called to the front desk and asked for another room. After a little salty attitude from the male night clerk I was given room 1117 . This room appeared much better than the first and was in a whole other section of the hotel. My friend had to get up to take the shuttle to the airport at 5:10 am. As I got out of bed we noticed two bed bugs in the sheets near the pillow. We collected them up in one of their hotel plastic cups and got our belongs and I went to the night desk clerk to show him and report the bed bugs. He offered to change our room but at that point there was no way I would ever get back to sleep in any of their rooms once finding the bed beds, plus this being our 2nd room as it was. I was told by the clerk the management would be getting back to me and after several attempts and getting the run around from the day staff I have been unsuccessful. One excuse after another. This hotel is considered a chain of the Choice Hotel group. I even called Choice Hotels and was offered some points to my reward program. I declined and then was offered a partial compensation for my bites from the bed bugs. He said they would mail a check and I would receive it in 4-6 weeks. I declined that also. I expect to have my full night reimbursed and be compensated for my night since I left at 5:am once discovering the bugs. BUYER BEWARE*** THE ROOMS YOU SEE ON THEIR WEBSITE IS NOT AT ALL WHAT YOU WILL BE GIVEN *** BAIT AND SWITCH... I truly believe that if you are booking outside of the hotel reservation line or front desk of hotel and using a discount service such as bookiing.com, trivago, orbitz, epedia. etc. they will put in the older run down rooms. I I will never stay at this hotel again nor any other CHOICE HOTEL ****** UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE ***** I have now been diagnosed with not only bed bug bites but scabies contracted from the hotels linen by two seperate physicians. I have over 50 bumps and blisters over my entire body. I Had to be put on steroids and Permethrin cream for the infestation. Hotel management still avoiding call from myself and from the Choice Hotel chain. They still charged me for the nights stay. I have contacted an attorney and they say I have a claim for negligence of premise. Please review this hotel before staying here. You do not want to bring bed bugs home to your family nor scabies since scabies is highly contagious and will be passed on to family members. This experience has been nothing but a night mare for me since I am in Florida taking care of my elderly sick mom who know may have been exposed. It is now 09/25/18 and after several days of calling Choice Hotels Customer relations and having my case turned over to upper management they have decided to refund my nights stay. This decision was made bu Choice Hotels and not through Clarion Hotel Airport on McCoy Road. As of yet the manager has yet to return my call. He has avoided every aspect of making this terrible experience somewhat right.I can understand the poor attitudes of the employees of this hotel after reading many many reviews from here, yelp and other internet sites including the Clarion Hotel Orlando International Airport page itself. It appears this hotel has many issues with management, staff, room cleanliness among so many other problems. Customer service is poor and this hotel needs a whole new management team to come in and take over. Clean house as they say. Take out the old and bring in the new. People that are trained in hospitality.
