My room had bed bugs the first night I stayed (9/11/2018). The reaction to the bites appeared around noon on 9/12/18, and the issue was brought to the staff's attention around 11pm on 9/12/18. The bedsheets had stains and loose strands of hair tossed in. I've stayed in plenty of hotels for $40/night without issues of cleanliness, so I was very surprised at how dirty this $240/night room was. I should have requested new sheets, but I figured it could be in worse condition. The staff did not seem phased when I brought the bedbug infestation to their attention. Although they did give me a different room, not once did they express concern, give an apology, or provide me with any advice on how to prevent bringing the bed bugs back home with me. They were more focused on keeping it quiet and moving me along as quickly as possible. I was informed that the manager would reach out to me the following day, but have not heard anything since. They also gave me a complimentary buffet breakfast, but it was not properly managed; food was cold, soggy, and swarming with fruit flies. Much of the furniture looked outdated, the creaky elevator broke during my visit, and the pool was filled with so many chemicals that simply walking by caused eye irritation.
