Bedbug Reviews

My family checked in on Tuesday, June 12 with a reservation for three nights, checking out on Friday, June 15. We were assigned room 308. We inspected the room for bedbugs, as always, and noted the mattress and box spring were in encasements, always a good sign. We did not notice any of the telltale signs. The next evening, my husband noted several large red, itchy welts on his body. We assumed they were mosquito bites as we had been spending a lot of time outside without insect repellent. On Thursday, I had a welt on my back and my husband had several more bites. We suspected bed bugs and searched again, but no sign. A few minutes later, my daughter spotted a bug crawling on her pillow and asked me what it was. It was a tiny brown bug and it exploded with blood spattering everywhere when I tried to pick it up. Yep, definitely bed bugs. We battled and won an infestation in a former apartment back in 2010 and we know what they are like. We decided to move rooms and the hotel desk clerk moved us to 322, on the other side of the hotel. We received no bites that night. I don't know whether the hotel addressed the issue or not, but the desk clerk made a note of it and the room number. I hope they have!
