Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

Husband found a bedbug crawling on the bathroom floor at 3am. He woke me up after capturing bug in a plastic cup and identifying. Manager was very rude (until he called the owner I suspect) and did not come in the room to look. We turned over a couple pillows looking for more evidence and found 1 in the crack of the pillow edge and one on the side of the mattress. We placed them all in the cup to take to the front desk. All appeared to be stage 5 nymphs. After finding those I was done searching. We had our 3 month old with us and just wanted to get out. Holiday Inn is supposed to contact us after they get a report from an exterminator.

On April 29, 2016 I was in bed and found a bed bug on me. I was moved to a different floor. When I got home I had an exterminator come to make sure I didn't bring anything home. I asked hotel to pay for my room and the exterminator. Their response was that it was a tick and not a bed bug and would not reimburse me for anything.
