Found 3 bed bugs in our room the morning of 2/11/19. Front desk staff was notified immediately. We were moved to another room, hotel staff treated all of our belongings as well as the original room. While I appreciated them treating our clothes/luggage/etc., we were left without our things for almost 5 hrs. Was told numerous times over the next 48 hrs that management would be in contact with me to resolve the issue which never happened. I was finally contacted after we checked out of the hotel on 2/13/19 and informed that we would be refunded for our entire stay.

We checked into Wilderness Of the Smokies on 1/19/2021. We were booked for the 19th-22nd. The first night we were ate up by bedbugs. We called security, took pictures and videos of them. We were then transferred to another room in which the same issue was present. We were then given a 2 bedroom suite in which we went in and cleaned and sanitized. WE then requested the utilize the laundry facilities in which it was a hassle with that. As we didnt want to transfer Bugs to the new room. We requested that they give us quarters to wash with and we was denied. We were eventually given quarters after speaking with Rick, later to find out that it was billed to our room. Mind you its 3 am. We were offer no accommodations. We literally had to fight for refunds and did not receive it all. The customer service Is horrible at the front desk. Upon checking out, at approximately 11:55 am. I witnessed the first room being cleaned by house keeping. We did clean and sanitize the room minus making the bed. Housekeeping went in the room and shook the same sheets and and blankets and put back on the bed. I then reported it to the front desk and the Manager nonchalantly dismissed it. As when she introduced herself as the manager of the resort had no knowledge of the bedbug situation. Further letting me know it went no further than the front desk.

Discovered bites down side of my neck and on my back on Friday January 27 when checking out of stone hill lodge. Reported to staff and was told someone would contact us. Heard nothing so we stopped back by on our way home on Sunday. They checked the room claimed there was nothing wrong but called Orkin who found an infestation. Offered to refund our room only. What about our clothing and the fact we were already home with our bags before we were told?
