Bedbug Reviews

Anonymous

I have been living at this apt since December 2015. Bed bugs began to appear April 2016. I started finding bite marks all over my body. My pillows and beding had tiny blood stains from the bugs. I reported it to the complex who stated the apt was exterminated before moving in. Later, an associate of the complex revealed that they only exterminate for roaches. They said they are not going to accept liability and I would have to pay for treatment myself. Then they offered bed bug treatment services through a recommended vendor. After looking at reviews, more and more people have reported bedbugs infesting their apts. Treatment is anywhere between 200-1500 bucks. I can't afford treatment at this time because the complex has raised my rent after my one year lease. Unfortunately I have mot been able to move because i can not afford moving expenses along with bed bug treatment to ensure the issue doesn't follow me. My infestation has gotten so bad that I can not sleep in my bedroom anymore. I now sleep everynight on the couch, and currently I am 4.5 months pregnant. I tried tackling treatment myself as a cheaper option, but it only helps for a few weeks at a time and is incredibly time consuming. I have furniture that is destroyed now. Bed bugs get in my clothes, purse, bookbag, etc. I refuse to renew my lease in July, since the complex with not accept liability for the infestation that has affected several apts. I will be a first time mother, and I will not have bed bugs feasting on my infant. My boyfriend's daughter was bite so badly, she was covered in red bite marks as if she had rashes and bruises. Something needs to be done.
