I checked into the Super 8 on the evening of 11/11/2023 and checked out around 7:30 AM on 11/12/2023. This was my only accommodation during my journey from my home in Illinois to my residence in Albuquerque, NM. Unfortunately, our stay at the hotel left us with bedbug bites from head to toes. The following day, I called the hotel to inform the staff about the bites. I was told that the owner would return my call on Tuesday. Subsequently, the owner contacted us, expressing willingness to refund the money for the night we spent at the hotel. When I explained that our concern was not about the monetary aspect, but rather the stress that we are under after bringing these bugs into our home. The conversation took a negative turn. The owner became rude, raising his voice and interrupting me, asserting that it wasn't his problem as guests had increasingly brought more and more of these bedbugs into his hotel over the past few months. We are now going to a very expensive treatment to control these bedbugs after we continue being bitten in our home.
