Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

Checked in at 2:00 pm on July 24, 2017. Went to the first room and checked mattress and box spring and the corners of the box spring were FULL of bed bugs. The box spring was enclosed in a bag and every corner and reaching out 4-6" had bed bugs in it. The second room was not as badly infested, but still had some in the box spring casing. We reused to stay and the desk staff was nice, but I really don't think they were "surprised" by the issue. Since each Best Western is independently owned talking corporate did us absolutely no good in trying to secure other hotel room at the same rate. Consequently we got our deposit refunded and booked a room at the Hyatt downtown. That room was clean, much pricier, but worth it to not have the infestation..
