My husband and I stayed at this hotel on Dec.18, 2018. My husband woke next day with welts all over his body..went to Dr. and was diagnosed with bed bug bites. I have requested 4 times that the hotel refund our hotel charge, and received nothing but automated emails in response. I contacted Red Roof Corporate office and was told this is an independent franchise and they have no control over practices at that hotel. I noticed that this hotel has bedbug complaints dating back to 2015. It seems SOMETHING should be done...perhaps the County Health Department needs to step in? My cost for staying at this hotel, as of now is over $150, including medical/prescription expenses, and the hotel refuses to even refund the $62.57 room charge.

Got up around 11:30 PM to use bathroom. Found welts on my are. Looked in bed and found bedbugs. I went to clerk, and she called manager (Brenda). Manager would not talk to me. They did not have another room available. I had to sleep in my day cab semi truck without my CPAP machine. Tried to talk to gm (Patel) or Brenda on Monday Sep 26,2016 with no response four times. I called health Dept to fill a report

We stayed there for 5 days starting march 11, 2017. We were in 2 separate beds and my husband got a couple of bites, but we ignored it until a couple of days later when I started getting bitten. The manager said the have a company treat the rooms regularly. When we checked out we had her put all our nightwear and my personal pillows in their dryer and did not bring them home.

1) Wednesday novermber 22, 2017 we checked in Thursday early at like 1:15 am. 2) we found the bug immediately came down told the lady and the front desk, said we wanted a refund, she said are you sure it was a bedbug, we said yes and she didn’t say anything then she refunded the amount, said the housekeepers should have picked that up. Then we left.

My wife and I stayed here during the Christmas holiday 2018 while visiting relatives. We were scheduled and prepaid for 3 nights, but left after 2 because we discovered we both were covered in bite marks which we verified as bed bug bites by comparing with photos of such bites on WebMD. I notified the front desk and the person there had a cavalier attitude about it. When we returned home, I called the Henderson County (NC) Department of Public Health to complain and they came out and did an inspection and reported back to me that yes the hotel had bed bugs. I also complained to the Red Roof Customer Service office, but they said there was little they could do since the hotel is a franchise. They gave me the owner's contact information, and I emailed him twice both to complain and ask for a refund of the night we did not stay (but prepaid). He did not even reply back with an apology or explanation. We will never stay there again (and we visit Hendersonville regularly) and I recommend against any stay there by potential guests.
