Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

I checked in to the hotel Friday, Jan10. Room 122 appeared clean. I pulled up the sheets on the corners of the mattresses to look for signs of bedbugs, but didn't see any red flags. We went to bed at midnight but I couldn't sleep, so I was reading a book on my phone around 1:15am when I thought I saw movement on my pillow right by my face. I used my phone flashlight and saw a full size adult bedbug. I quickly got out of bed and threw the comforter and top sheet up and saw between 10 and fifteen bugs. There were bugs at several life stages. I caught a few in a cup and took them to the front desk, showing the employee and asked to be moved to another floor and as far away as possible. Staff was horrified and apologetic and moved me to another room. He said the management would call me. They haven't yet, but if they don't I'll definitely call them. The morning staff was happy to provide me with large garbage bags to put my belongings in.
