Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

Stayed two nights. checked in and looked under mattresses and sheets, saw nothing. Next day my daughter has a itchy bite on her hand. Thought maybe a mosquito bite. The next day we woke up daughter has two more bites on her hand, one on her arm, and one her back. We shower/bath and pack our things. I strip the sheets and mattress. Under the protected zipper enclosed mattress is a protected zipper enclosed box spring. But around the zipper enclosed box spring is an elastic decorative cover. This is where I found a live bedbug towards the head of the bed. I put it in a cup and called the front desk. Stayed here numerous times and this is the first time this happened. The front desk was apologetic and took $85 off bill listing it as "bed issues". Poor daughter is upset over incident.
