0200 on 5/5/17 Found bed bug in sheets after turning off lights. Bagged said bug and brought it down to the front desk and was told to return tomorrow for refund due to management not on duty. Staff member seemed very unconcerned about bed bug report.

We checked in on October 1st 2017. After a few days I noticed some bites on my feet and legs. I had never encountered bed bugs before and assumed that they were mosquito bites over the next few days I became covered in bites. They were very painful and caused very large welts over me. I spoke with the manager who seemed very concerned and he said he would check my room. When I returned you could tell that the room had been disinfected the smell of alcohol was overwhelming. He assured me that they found nothing. I trusted him and slept one more night in the room waking up with new bites. Again the manager seemed very concerned and continued to say the room was clean. He offered a news room to us. We agreed moved all of our things. I figured that with all we had been through he would make sure the next room was clean. After gettyinto the room I walked over to look at the bed and there was a bedbug crawling across the top of the bed as well as stains all over the sheets and pillows. The sheets were dirty and the room was infested with bed bugs. We got the manager and showed him the bug. He said he couldn’t say if that’s what it was or not. He offered a refund and said that he wouldn’t rent the room and would call the health department. We left and stayed in another hotel down the road and never had another bite. The bites were very painful and took weeks to heal up. It was a horrible experience. Also when I was leaving the super 8 another guest told me that there was two other rooms on the first floor that were shut down from bed bugs. The manager was very kind, however he could easily put bed bug protectors on all the mattresses and prevent a lot of pain and suffering. I spent nearly $30 in laundry charges as well as had to throw away our comforter, pillows, and blankets that we travel with.
